More about Br. Eric:
"As a youngster in my Pittsburgh neighborhood, my brother and I played with the guys on my street, rode bikes, and played stickball and baseball. At home, I was curious and frequently would take things apart to see how they worked. Most items were put together again with all parts intact.

While attending Seton-La Salle High School I became interested in the Christian Brothers because I had some very good teachers, and I admired what they were doing in the classroom. I talked with my parents about joining the Brothers and they gave me the OK.
I attended La Salle University for my Bachelor's and Villanova University for my Master's in chemistry. These programs were challenging, but satisfying to me because I could always explore my surroundings using chemistry.

From my first experiences as a Christian Brother teaching in the field of chemistry, I have always enjoyed teaching students, helping them to understand various topics, and giving them a lot of lab experience to make the lecture part of chemistry come alive for them. That motivation and feeling continues to this day."
