Soccer
Central Catholic offers freshmen, junior varsity and varsity soccer squads. Viking soccer provides the student-athlete at Central the opportunity to be a part of a growing tradition. A relatively new sport at Central, soccer has achieved a level of success recently that has brought a great deal of positive recognition to the players and school.
Each year Central Catholic Soccer competes against the best teams in the WPIAL, while registering winning results. The season runs from preseason camp in the middle of August through the State playoffs at the beginning of November.
The coaching staff at Central Catholic is committed to excellence and playing the “Right Way” every season. Therefore we expect the same level of commitment from our players. If you are unsure as to your current ability level we would recommend attendance at the summer conditioning sessions to gain a feel for the level. Our coaches are seasoned players and teachers. Our sessions are specifically designed to address the needs and skills as players and students. Our goal is to help youth reach their potential, helping them gain confidence and develop skills that will help them on the pitch and in life.
