Merit-Based Aid and Scholarships
De La Salle Merit Scholarship
Students who score in the top 10 on the Placement Test in December/January of their 8th grade year will be considered for the De La Salle Merit Scholarships. In addition to the Placement Test score, the Application for Admission and School Recommendation Form (including the transcript of grades) will be considered.
Jack Twyman, ’51, Leadership Scholarship
At Central Catholic, we are committed to developing the young men entrusted to our care into strong and confident leaders in the community. Many young men display their leadership potential early on, even in grade school and middle school. It is these young men who will be entering the 9th grade that we invite to apply for the Jack Twyman, ’51, Leadership Scholarship.
Catholic Educator’s Service Scholarship
The Catholic Educator’s Service Scholarship will be awarded to incoming 9th grade students whose parent has been a full-time employee of a diocesan elementary school for at least three years. The awards will be based off the length of service of the parent as well as the academic record of the student.
Paul J. Sciullo II, ’91, Scholarship Fund for First Responders
The Paul J. Sciullo II, ’91, Scholarship Fund for First Responders will be awarded to incoming 9th grade students whose parent(s) are actively serving the community as first responders. Full-time members of law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services are invited to apply for the scholarship.
James C. Wheeler Scholarship Fund for Military Heroes
The James C. Wheeler Scholarship Fund for Military Heroes will be awarded to incoming 9th-grade students whose parent(s) are active duty or retired members of the armed services. Proof of service must be submitted at the time of application.
viking merit scholarship
Valued at either $1000 or $2,000 for four years towards tuition, the Viking Merit Scholarships are awarded to incoming 9th grade students who have and continue to demonstrate good character and academic achievement, scored well on the placement exam, and have demonstrated above-average academic performance in middle school.
Financial Aid
Through the generosity of our charitable donors, students in need of financial aid may also qualify by completing the FACTS Grant & Aid Application. The FACTS Grant & Aid Application will be available in early February for the upcoming school year.
