Golf

 The Central Catholic golf season begins in early August and continues through the middle of October. During this time, the golfer is expected to dedicate his time to his studies and to golf. Tryouts consist of 5 rounds, 2 of which are JV and 3 Varsity. The top finishers from JV tryouts advance to varsity tryouts.

The varsity team consists of 8 players, with the top 6 automatically in. The coaching staff then adds the additional two players. The top 10-12 freshmen and sophomores are placed on the JV team. All players must pass a rules test on information distributed before tryouts begin. The golf team has compiled an impressive record, capturing multiple WPIAL and PIAA titles over the past few years. Students intending to join the golf team should be familiar with the sport and be prepared with the necessary equipment.
