Visitors may only enter from the visitor entrance on Fifth Avenue. All visitors should go directly to door Q in front of the school on the Fifth Avenue side to check in at the welcome desk.

Central Catholic has a private parking lot on the side of the main school building. Visitors are to drive through the parking lot which is located off of South Neville Street, which intersects Fifth Avenue near our property (this is the nearest intersection with a stoplight to the front entrance of the building). Turn South onto South Neville Street (going downhill), and the entrance to the parking lot will be on the left-hand side across from Winthrop Street. There are several visitor parking spaces across the parking lot and to the left.

From the East (Pennsylvania Turnpike)

Cars traveling from the east via the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) should take Exit 57 to I-376 West. From376 take Exit 3B, Oakland, onto Bates Street. Stay on Bates until it ends at Bouquet Street. Turn left onto Bouquet, then right at the first light onto Forbes Avenue. Continue on Forbes and go several blocks until Craig Street (Carnegie Museum on right). Turn left on Craig Street. Continue two blocks to Winthrop Street. Turn right on Winthrop Street. Follow Winthrop to bottom of hill. Central’s parking lot entrance is directly in front of you.

From the West (Pennsylvania Turnpike)

Cars traveling from the west via the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) should take Exit 28 and follow I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left off I-79). Follow 279 into the city, to the I-376 Monroeville Exit. Follow 376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland Exit. Continue on Forbes Avenue until you reach Craig Street (Carnegie Museum on right). Turn left on Craig Street. Continue two blocks to Winthrop Street. Turn right on Winthrop Street. Follow Winthrop to bottom of hill. Central’s parking lot entrance is directly in front of you.

From the North (I-279 South)

Take I-79 South to I-279 South. (You exit to the left off I-79.) Follow 279 into the city, to the I-376 Monroeville Exit. Follow 376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland Exit. Continue on Forbes Avenue until you reach Craig Street (Carnegie Museum on right). Turn left on Craig Street. Continue two blocks to Winthrop Street. Turn right on Winthrop Street. From the South (I-79)

Follow I-79 North to the I-279 North Exit. Take 279 through the Fort Pitt Tunnels and across the bridge to the I-376 Monroeville Exit (first exit on the right). Follow 376 to the Forbes Avenue/Oakland Exit. Continue on Forbes Avenue until you reach Craig Street (Carnegie Museum on right). Turn left on Craig Street. Continue two blocks to Winthrop Street. Turn right on Winthrop Street. Follow Winthrop to bottom of hill. Central’s parking lot entrance is directly in front of you.

From Millvale-Shaler Area

Cross the 40th Street Bridge. Continue on 40th Street until you reach Liberty Avenue. Make a left on Liberty Avenue and go through Bloomfield until you reach S. Millvale Avenue. (West Penn Hospital will be on your left). Make a right on S. Millvale Avenue and continue until you reach Centre Avenue. Make a right on Centre Avenue and continue until you reach Neville Street. Make a left on Neville Street and continue for three blocks. Cross over Fifth Avenue and go down the hill. Turn left at the second driveway. This will bring you into Central’s parking lot.
