About Mr. Maltbaek:
Mr. Maltbaek was born and raised in Mountain View, California, and attended Bellarmine College Prep. After college, he spent a year teaching at Sherborne School in England and then returned to Princeton to obtain his teaching credential. In 2014, his wife (who is a Pittsburgh native) began her Ph.D. at the University of California, Davis, and Mr. Maltbaek started a five-year stint as a teacher and coach at Cristo Rey High School in Sacramento.
