CCHS Announces New Leadership
Brother Robert Schaefer, FSC will begin his sixth year as Principal in the fall.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, June 30, 2014 – At the conclusion of the 2013-2014 school year, Brother Patrick Duffy, FSC completed his term as President of Central Catholic High School. He is now preparing to move on to his next assignment. We thank Brother Patrick for his service to Central Catholic and wish him the best in his next endeavor.
With the departure of Brother Patrick, Central Catholic will adopt a Principal leadership model. Brother Robert Schaefer, FSC will begin his sixth year as Principal in the fall and will now also oversee all Advancement, financial, and academic operations, ensuring a consistent and outstanding future for Central Catholic High School. Brother Bob has spent 17 years at Central, including five years as Assistant Principal.
Brother Bob said, “As we look to the future, Central Catholic is ready to face the challenges of providing an outstanding Catholic secondary education in the tradition of the Christian Brothers. The Commitment of so many dedicated people to ensuring the vitality of our mission for generations of boys to come is very encouraging."
Richard Hamilton, '63, Chairman of the Board of Directors, noted, "Brother Bob has done an outstanding job at Central Catholic and will have the complete support of the Board of Directors in his new leadership position."
