Congressman Mike Doyle was interviewed by Anthony Williams, '17, during his visit to Zupancic Family STEM Center at Central Catholic.
Congressman Mike Doyle (representing the 14th District of Pennsylvania) visited Central Catholic’s Zupancic Family STEM Center today. Congressman Doyle toured the facility and participated in a round-table discussion with students and Brother Anthony Baginski, FSC, Principal. Representative Doyle co-founded the House Robotics Caucus and continues to chair this group. He expressed particular interest in the robotics and engineering at Central Catholic.
Demarre Evans, ’17 asked: “Are there any other schools in the region that you consider to have ideal STEM Programs?”
Congressman Mike Doyle: “Well, I gotta tell you this one’s pretty impressive. You’re very fortunate, and one of the great things about Central Catholic is you have a great alumni body here that’s very connected to the school and you have some very successful people that give back, which is great. I can’t recall being in any other high school that has anything like this.” The Congressman went on to compare Zupancic Family STEM Center to various colleges that he has visited.
