Congratulations to Luke Wearden ’16 and William McCarthy ’16 on their outstanding performance at the National Catholic Forensic League’s Grand National Tournament held in Fort Lauderdale, FL, over the Memorial Day weekend. Luke and William competed in policy debate and climbed their way through a field of over 100 teams from all over the country to reach the final round. There the Shawnee Mission East team from Kansas, two seniors who finished in second place last year, defeated them. In finishing second this year, William and Luke broke a three-decade long record for Central Catholic teams competing at the NCFL Tournament.
