God Bless America
At Central Catholic, as we recall the events of 9/11, we have the opportunity to mention God and to pray for His blessing on this country and this community.
“Today on many calendars it says, ‘Patriot Day’, and I think sometimes we forget that Patriotism is a Christian virtue. It’s not to be confused with nationalism. Patriotism is the appropriate love and respect for one’s country; and the understanding that we have the responsibility, as citizens of this country, to make sure that we promote the best of our values and the United States’ founding purpose. And that, from the very beginning, was one of the missions of Central Catholic High School. That the men who would go through their four years here would leave with a sense of love and commitment and responsibility for their country.” – Brother Robert Schaefer, FSC, Principal

Following mass, our students joined together in silent reflection and prayer before singing, “God Bless America.”
