This morning, Mr. Gregory Lehane, ’65, gave a lecture on theater and opera to Mr. Sudnik's new Honors Humanities course. Mr. Lehane, a professor of drama and music at Carnegie Mellon University, has directed for television, theater, and opera in Pittsburgh and around the world. He presented both an experiential and scholarly discussion of the history of Greek drama and the birth of directing in 19th and 20th century theater and opera. The students - both juniors and seniors - also learned more about higher education and careers in the fine arts and humanities.
