Orientation Schedule Change

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last week, you received a letter addressing the upcoming school year. After careful review of the orientation schedule and with further consideration of COVID-19 safety measures, we have decided to revise the upperclassmen orientation schedule to better accommodate for proper social distancing and safety measures.
Please review the revised schedule carefully:
Monday, August 24th (NO CHANGE)
- Freshmen Only – Report to Homeroom by 7:55. Dismissal at 2:27.
Tuesday, August 25th (NO CHANGE)
- Freshmen Only – Report to Homeroom by 7:55. Dismissal at 2:27.
Wednesday, August 26th
- All Students in the Blue Group (A-L) – Report to Homeroom by 7:55. Dismissal at 2:27.
Thursday, August 27th
- All Students in the Gold Group (M-Z) – Report to Homeroom by 7:55. Dismissal at 2:27.
Friday, August 24th
- Enjoy the day off.
Please be aware that there will be times when students will be together in large groups. On Monday and Tuesday, about half of the freshmen class (roughly 100 students) will be in the auditorium or the gym for some part of the day. The ground floor of the auditorium holds over 600 and the capacity of the gym is 525 plus the gym area. Despite the large number of students, they will be seated evenly apart for proper social distancing, and masks will be required.
On Wednesday, the upperclassmen in the Blue group (about 150 students) will be in the auditorium for some part of the day, as well as in the gym. The same is true on Thursday for the upperclassmen in the Gold group (about 150). The safety protocols outlined for freshmen above will also be followed for upperclassmen orientation.
