​PJAS Regionals

Another strong year at PJAS regionals! The Viking Scientists reaped 40 first places, 23 seconds, and a handful of special awards. Freshman Will Gatti won $100 from the Duquesne School of Pharmacy, Simon Hebert won the Sigma Xi Award for Science Excellence, sophomore Josh Egan won awards in Biology Excellence form both Pitt and Duquesne, sophomore Mike Bushnell won the American Chemical Society award and Director’s award for chemistry, sophomore Peter Wagstaff won the Director’s Award for engineering and the Pitt Swanson School Engineering Award, and senior Dan Crawford won the prestigious PA Science Talent Search Award. In addition, Perseverance Awards for their dedication and participation over the years were earned by seniors Dan Crawford, Colm Parrish, Cam Coco, and Ryan Nguyen. Congrats to all on a fine showing. On to States and PRSEF!
