Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh Awards
Mark Krotec, '73 and Ryan Nguyen, '16 received awards from the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh.
The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh presented Mark Krotec, '73, the 2016 Teacher's Award for mentoring the Central Catholic students who entered the PJAS Region 7 competition in chemistry and related fields. Additionally, Ryan Nguyen, ’16, has been selected to receive the Society of Analytical Chemists (SACP) PJAS Award as a 12th grade student. The award is based on a high grade received on a report related to chemistry presented at the Region 7 meeting of PJAS at Duquesne University and is intended to help defray the cost of attending the state competition at Penn State University.
The awards will be presented at the SACP/ACS Annual Awards Dinner on May 23, 2016 at Duquesne University.
