We thank our faculty and staff who have served. Central Catholic is home to five Veterans, who represent four out of five military branches. Learn more about our Veterans below:

Brother Tony Baginski, FSC, Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard

Dates served: 1991 - 2001

Notable locations: Br. Tony Baginski, FSC, Spent two years in Alaska, two years in Connecticut on a ship, two years in graduate school and taught at the Coast Guard Academy for 5 years.

Mr. John Cope, E5-Sergeant, 307th Military Police in the U.S. Army

Dates served: 1971 - 1976

Why did you choose to enlist? There was a very low draft number, so I enlisted.

Ms. Cheri Diethorn, Captain Flight Nurse trained on C123, C130 aircrafts in the U.S. Air Force

Why did you choose to enlist? I had wanted to enlist and serve during the Nam conflict but my parents wouldn't sign. I finished nursing school and later enlisted as a Second Lieutenant and I served for 7 years.

Mr. Nate Ferrer, Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy

Mathematics Department

Dates served: 2003 - 2009

Awards received: 3 Navy Achievement medals

Notable locations: I was deployed on the USS Dallas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom.

Mr. Justin Morgan, Interior Communication Electrician Third Class Petty Officer (IC3) in the U.S. Navy

Dates served: 2002 - 2006

Notable locations: Forwarded deployed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty-Hawk CV63 stationed in Yokosuka Japan, Carrier Strike Group Pacific Fifth Fleet.
