Congratulations to Central Catholic students Jaime Beiriger, ’16 and Nathan Vislosky, ’17 on being accepted to the University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy. A competitive program, and formerly the Pennsylvania Governor's School for Health Care, is a four week intensive on-campus experience held in June and July at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The program is designed for students from across the state interested in pursuing careers in medicine, by exposing them health care delivery systems, learning about the importance of primary care, and understanding how to serve as a community advocate to address Pennsylvania's health care needs.
