Online Instruction Extension Announcement
Central Catholic will continue with online instruction through April 8, with the earliest possible return date of April 15, 2020.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
During Governor Wolf’s coronavirus briefing today, he announced a mandatory state-wide school closure for another two weeks past the initial return date of March 30. Because of this, Central Catholic will continue with online instruction through April 8, with the earliest possible return date of April 15, 2020. All events, performances, games and practices within this time are also canceled or postponed. As a reminder, Central Catholic’s Easter Break runs from April 9 through April 14, 2020.
While nothing can replace the physical classroom, we are doing everything that we can to ensure that our online instruction provides the best experience possible. Many of our teachers have hit the ground running with the technology available to them, using tools like Zoom and FlipGrid to create dynamic and engaging online classrooms.
As we settle into this new routine for the foreseeable future, we hope that you are enjoying our daily prayer and announcement emails, as well as the weekly counseling resource email. We want to ensure that we stay connected with our students and families as much as we possibly can, and will continue to modify and enhance our instruction and communication in line with best practices.
If you have any questions or concerns during these uncertain times, please feel free to reach out to me or any of our school counselors for assistance. Your student’s health and safety – both physical and mental – are our top priorities.
Fraternally,
Brother Tony Baginski, FSC,
Principal
