Online Instruction Reminders

Dear Parents and Guardians, 

After many rounds of testing and training, we are prepared to go “live” with our first day of online instruction for students. We are excited to get back to a routine and look forward to engaging with students through our online learning platform, Moodle, and video-conferencing service, Zoom. A few notes and reminders: 

• Tomorrow is Day 1 in our six day cycle. Students should follow their typical Day 1 class schedule. 
• Some teachers on some days will teach in real time using Zoom.  In that case, the students will need to be on their iPads during that class period. Otherwise, students need to submit their daily assignments by the end of the school day at 2:40. Students will follow the six-day cycle just as they would for in-person instruction. Homeroom attendance will not be taken. 
• While we are conducting online learning, the Wednesday class schedule times will be the same as the other four school days.
• In order to allow students enough time to review their assignments, assignments for the following day will be posted to Moodle by 7 p.m. the night before. This way, students can review and work on their assignments prior to the start of their day. 
  
  As we move to our online instruction until at least March 27th, we have had many questions regarding events that are scheduled to take place in April and May. Currently, there are many unknowns and the situation is changing rapidly.  It is still too soon to make decisions about events that are weeks or months in the future. We appreciate your patience as we evaluate events taking place over the remainder of the school year and we are committed to keeping you informed as soon as we have any updates. 
  
  In the meantime, we are doing our best to maintain a sense of routine and normalcy among our students, faculty and staff.  Each morning, I will be sending an email blast to students and parents with updates for the school day - including our daily prayer. My goal is to maintain our sense of community, even if we can’t gather directly in person. Fraternally,
