Jail Tour FAQs
What are the scheduled dates for the Jail Tours?
2018-19 Jail Tour dates are still being determined. We will update the dates as soon as we have them.
What time is the Jail Tour?
On any of the scheduled dates students are expected to be at Central’s Quad at 5 p.m. and they will return back to Central at 9 p.m.
How are the students being transported?
Central will provide a bus from Central to the Allegheny County Jail and then back to Central Catholic.
Does my son have to ride on the bus?
All students are required to depart from Central to the jail and return on the bus from the jail back to Central. No students will be allowed to be dropped off or picked up at the jail.
Is there any cost for the Jail Tour?
There is a charge of $5 for the jail tour. All of the money collected goes to support the non-profit, Greenfield Organized Against Drugs.
Is there a meal provided on the Jail Tour?
There is no meal provided on the Jail Tour. Students should plan on eating either before or after the Jail Tour.
What is the dress code for the Jail Tour?
Students are expected to wear their normal school attire minus a tie for the Jail Tour.
