Central Catholic High School and the Diocese of Pittsburgh Announce Wellness Initiative
Focus is on Preventing Substance Abuse, Protecting Students’ Health and Well-being
About the Health and Wellness Initiative
Central Catholic High School is proud to be a leader in implementing the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s new Health and Wellness Initiative. The Health and Wellness initiative will focus on keeping students well and substance-free through a combination of education, assessment and support.
Central Catholic, with the support of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, will implement a Wellness Initiative in the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. All eight diocesan high schools are committed to protecting students’ health and well-being and preventing substance abuse. In the near future, the other diocesan high schools will be evaluating similar drug assessment policies and other programs focused on substance abuse prevention to enhance current programs at the schools.
