Central Catholic Mourns the Death of Mr. Robert Anderson
Dear Central Catholic Community,
I have incredibly sad news to share with you today.
For those of you who are unaware, I regretfully inform you that Mr. Robert "Bob" Anderson, a nearly 20-year physical education and health teacher at Central Catholic High School, unexpectedly and tragically passed away following a bicycle accident in North Park on Tuesday, June 18.
Throughout his time at our school, Mr. Anderson played an important role in educating students on the need for personal health and wellness. Mr. Anderson was dedicated to the students entrusted to his care and the mission of Central Catholic. Everyone who knew him mourns his passing, as he was an integral member of our school’s community. I am certain that the Central Catholic community will join me in prayer as we collectively extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Anderson’s family and friends.
Additionally, our school counselors are available to support students, faculty, and staff who may need assistance coping with this loss. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you or your child need someone to speak with during this challenging time.
Please contact Mr. Phillip DiRenzo, ’04, Director of the Counseling Department, at 412.208.3434 or pdirenzo@CentralCatholicHS.com.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
