​The Masque Nominated for Nine Gene Kelly Awards

Members of "The Masque," Central Catholic/Oakland Catholic's Drama Club, were recently nominated for nine Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater for their performance of "In The Heights."

The nominations include:

• Best Musical, Budget Level Two, "In the Heights"
• Best Actor, Tom Dougherty, (Benny)
• Best Scenic Design, Budget Level Two
• Best Lighting Design, Budget Level Two
• Best Crew and Technical Execution
• Best Direction
• Best Ensemble
• Best Choreography
• Best Musical Direction

The Masque will be performing a selection from "In the Heights" during the awards show. The Gene Kelly Awards will be presented on Saturday, May 27th, at the Benedum Center at 7:30 pm. View the full list of nominees.
