Robotics
Robotics allows students to build, program and control their own robots with the intent of competing against other Robotics teams in the area.
The Robotics Team designs, programs, and builds a robot to compete in various competitions around the country. The team is part of the FIRST organization which is an international high school robotics competition. Each year students, coaches, and mentors work through a packed schedule to build a robot that weighs no more than 125 lbs. In the fall, the team completes an offseason project to get new team members acclimated to the various robotic systems. The official season starts in January and runs through early March. If you enjoy electronics, programming, or mechanical design, the Robotics Team is for you. No prior experience is necessary, and we can teach anyone who wants to learn! The team is open to all grade levels, and you’re encouraged to join.
